Description
The Heuer "Jo Siffert" Autavia reference 1163 is one of the most iconic and exciting vintage Heuer chronographs. The watch was famously worn by the Swiss Formula 1 driver Jo Siffert in the late 1960s - early 1970s. This example dates to circa 1969. It is in outstanding condition. The case appears to be unpolished. It is powered by the automatic calibre 11 made by Heuer-Léonidas. It measures approximately 42mm in diameter. It features the Mark 2 dial and the original Tachymeter bezel. This variant has the enlarged blue hour markers and ridged hour markers and metal hour and minute hands. It features a 141XXX serial just after the Chronomatic Siffert range. It is paired on a Heuer bracelet by Gay Freres with HLD end links dating to 1970. For those looking for an incredible vintage Heuer chronograph, the Jo Siffert is a must have. This watch does not include the original box and papers. We do not know the service history, but it is running well.
