Description
From rugged expeditions to everyday wear, the Rolex Explorer II reference 16570 has earned its reputation as one of the brand's most versatile and enduring professional sports watches. Offered here is a very nice black dial example bearing a P-serial, dating production to approximately 2000, and it is accompanied by its original Rolex International Guarantee papers dated 2001. The watch is fitted with its original fully-linked Rolex 78790A Oyster bracelet, with a DE4 clasp code (April 2001), remaining in nice condition, exhibiting virtually no stretch and only minor superficial scratching. It features a holes case with solid end links, a sapphire crystal with Cyclops date magnifier, and the robust proportions that have made the 16570 a favorite among collectors. The stainless steel case is exceptionally well preserved, retaining sharp lugs, strong factory chamfers, crisp proportions, and an exceptional overall appearance. There are minor superficial scratches and small dings throughout the case and bezel. Accompanying the watch is its original Rolex International Guarantee papers dated December 2001, Rolex outer box, inner Rolex box, dust cloth, pillow, red Chronometer hang tag, green serialized hang tag, and leather wallet.
