This TUDOR Submariner reference 7016/0 is a special watch issued to the Marine Nationale (French Navy). Additionally, this watch was featured in and comes with a copy of latest version of the book Marine Nationale: REGISTRE by Watchistry . It features a TrueDome D19 crystal. MN issued TUDORs are regarded as the most collectible watches from the French Navy, and are among the most desired vintage TUDOR models. The watch dates to circa 1969/1970 with a 740,XXX serial. It was issued to the Marine Nationale in 1974. The case has been polished. It features a later insert. The dial and hands have been relumed. The watch is paired on a Rolex 93150 bracelet with Z date code dating to circa 1997 with one 580 end link and a 501 B end link. It is often the case where Military and Navy watches have replaced parts. Some collectors appreciate the current state of these watches, as the watch remains true to the way the watch was worn by the original owner. It does not come with box and papers. The watch was serviced in 2024 and it is running well. It recently passed a water resistance test of 5 bar.
