Description
In 2022, Sylvain Berneron founded the independent watch manufacturer Berneron and it has become one of the most important names in independent watchmaking. In 2023, Sylvain Berneron became an Academy Member of the GPHG and in 2024 would receive the Audacity Prize at the 24th GPHG ceremony. The Berneron Mirage debuted in 2023. This asymetrical model made an incredible impression with collectors and is synonymous with the brand. The Mirage 34 is the is the smaller iteration of the Mirage series. The Tiger's Eye is a special configuration introduced in 2024. These watches are powered by the in-house calibre 215 which is beautifully displayed through the exhibition case back. The movement's mainplate and bridges are made of 18k gold. It is a manual-wind movement with a 72 hour power reserve. These Tiger's Eye dials absolutely beautiful and each feature a hand-carved subdial. It features curved gold hands to complement the asymmetrical case. The case measures 34mm in diameter and is made of 18k yellow gold. This example is unpolished and remains in outstanding condition. This example was sold in 2026. For those who admire the independent watchmaking spirit, Berneron is certainly the most exciting manufacturer that has emerged in the 2020s. These watches have had tremendous results recently selling for over $244,000. The "Viridian" Chrysoprase models have also had great results recently selling at $521,400 on LoupeThis and $497,000 at Phillips. We recently sold one in this range as well.
