Originally introduced in 1965, the Ollech & Wajs Early Bird paid tribute to the pioneering satellite of the same name and represented the brand’s forward-thinking approach to precision timekeeping. Nearly six decades later, the reimagined OW Early Bird EB-24 brings this unique concept back to life with a modern Swiss-made 24-hour automatic movement designed for global exploration. Unlike a traditional watch where the hour hand completes two revolutions per day, the EB-24 features a true 24-hour display, allowing the wearer to view the entire day at a glance while simultaneously tracking a second time zone. This innovative complication makes it an ideal companion for pilots, international travelers, and professionals connected across continents. Handmade in the Swiss Jura, the 39.5mm brushed 316L stainless steel case features a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment, a bidirectional 24-hour world time bezel, and 300 meters (30 ATM) of water resistance. The highly legible dial is equipped with white Super-LumiNova® hands and hour markers, while the bespoke Swiss-made Soprod C-125 automatic movement is customized with an OW Zurich 1956 rotor and adjusted in three positions for reliable daily performance. Finished on a handcrafted Italian leather and natural linen strap with a signed ‘OWZ 1956’ stainless steel buckle, the OW Early Bird EB-24 is a distinctive expression of Swiss watchmaking, aviation heritage, and Ollech & Wajs’ commitment to functional innovation.
