About the Movement
Skeletonized movement based on the regular 849.
About the Family
The Master Ultra Thin collection showcases Jaeger-LeCoultre's mastery of miniaturisation — the art of reducing a mechanical movement to its thinnest possible expression without compromising reliability or finishing. The Manufacture in Le Sentier has produced some of the thinnest movements in watchmaking history, and the Master Ultra Thin family is the primary vehicle for this expertise. Each reference in the collection presents a specific complication — date, moon phase, perpetual calendar — at a thinness that seems mechanically improbable. The restraint of the dial design mirrors the restraint of the engineering: nothing is present that does not serve a purpose.
About this reference
Introduced in July of 2015, the Jaeger LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Squelette features a skeletonized version of caliber 849. Its absence of a dial has allowed JLC to cut the height to 3.6 mm for the regular versions; this diamond-set model has a height of 4.7mm. The present version has a white gold case.
