Description
This Breitling reference 788 is an incredible chronograph with a spectacular non-luminous dial. The reference 788 is one of the most elegant chronograph models from Breitling. These watches were produced in the 1940s and early 1950s. It dates to the circa 1945. This particular watch has U.S. Army provenance and belonged to Lieut. Col. Alfred B. Frazin. In 1945, Frazin visited the Pope and was likely wearing this watch . It features the rare purple hands only done by Breitling. The case appears to be unpolished. It measures 36mm in diameter by 42mm lug to lug. It is powered by a manual wind Venus movement. For those looking for one of the most attractive vintage Breitling chronographs from the 1940s, this is an amazing timepiece. The watch does not come with box and papers. The watch was just serviced and is running great.
