Description
Few designs in Vacheron Constantin’s history are as distinctive as the Historiques American 1921, a bold expression of the Maison’s watchmaking heritage originally conceived for the American market during the Roaring Twenties. Crafted in 18K 5N pink gold, this unconventional timepiece is defined by its diagonally oriented dial, allowing the time to be read without turning the wrist, and its crown positioned at approximately 1:30. This example features a grained silver-toned dial with blue numerals, a matching railway minute track, and slender blued 18K gold open-tipped hour and minute hands. A snailed small seconds subdial at 3 o’clock completes the dial layout, while a patinated dark blue calfskin leather strap complements the warm tones of the pink gold case. Powering the watch is a manual-winding manufacture movement with a power reserve of nearly three days, visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback. Water resistance is rated to 30 meters. Presented in excellent pre-owned condition, this example shows minimal signs of wear, with only light superficial scratches visible across the case and clasp. The watch is presented as a full set, accompanied by its original Vacheron Constantin inner and outer boxes, leather travel watch roll, leather document wallet, both retail hangtags, and Vacheron Constantin warranty card dated May 2026.
