Speedmaster Moonwatch Dark Side of the Moon Apollo 8

The Dark Side of the Moon, introduced in 2013, reimagined the Moonwatch in a material the original never used: ceramic. The entire case — bezel, case middle, and caseback — is machined from a single block of black zirconium oxide ceramic, a process that is both technically demanding and aesthetically transformative. The collection takes the Speedmaster's most recognisable layout — three subdials, tachymeter bezel, asymmetric case — and reinterprets it through materials and finishes that the 1960s space programme could not have imagined. Each variant explores a different aspect of the moon and space, from meteorite dials to Sedna gold accents, always anchored by the Moonwatch's fundamental architecture.

The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Dark Side of the Moon Apollo 8 was introduced at BaselWorld 2018. It features a ceramic case paired with a Lemania-1873 based movement, which is first for the brand.
