About the Movement
About the Family
The Pelagos is Tudor's most technically ambitious dive watch — a 500-metre professional instrument in titanium with a helium escape valve, ceramic bezel, and an in-house movement with a silicon balance spring. Where the Black Bay family draws on vintage nostalgia, the Pelagos is entirely forward-looking: its titanium case and bracelet are lighter and more corrosion-resistant than steel, the spring-loaded clasp adjusts automatically to accommodate a wetsuit, and the luminous material charges faster and glows longer than conventional Super-LumiNova. The Pelagos represents what Tudor can do when heritage is set aside and the brief is purely performance.
About this reference
Introduced in late 2016, the Tudor Pelagos LHD is a left-handed version of Tudor's Pelagos dive watch. The crown is located at the 9 o'clock position, while the dial differs from earlier versions through the use of beige luminova and a splash of red in the print, lending this Pelagos a vintage-inspired aesthetic. It is fitted with a so-called 'roulette' date wheel. This 'numbered edition' (individually numbered on the case back) is fitted with a titanium bracelet and delivered with an additional rubber strap.
