FiftySix Self-Winding Stainless Steel / Blue

The FiftySix, introduced in 2018, is Vacheron Constantin's most accessible collection — designed to serve as an entry point to one of the oldest continuously operating watch manufactures in the world (founded 1755). The name references the reference 6073, a 1956 model whose case shape and lugs inspired the modern design. The collection's Maltese cross-shaped lugs, vintage-inspired sector dials, and moderate case sizes present Vacheron Constantin's design language at a scale and price point that reaches a broader audience without diluting the finishing standards that define every watch leaving the Geneva manufacture.

The Vacheron Constantin FiftySix collection was introduced at SIHH 2018. As suggested by its name the collection is inspired by a model introduced in 1956. This watch, reference 6073, paired a classic dial with a bold and modern case. Arguably the most striking element was the design of its lugs, which was inspired by the Maltese cross logo of the brand. The angular lugs of the retro-contemporary 2018 FiftySix are a clear nod to its source of inspiration, and the box-shaped sapphire crystal adds to the retro appeal. The FiftySix Self-Winding reference 4600E/000A-B487 has a stainless steel case of 40mm. The sector-like dial is blue and features alternating applied stick markers and Arabic numerals, both executed in white gold. It is powered by caliber 1326. This version was added in 2019.
